Artisan Story
These baskets are handcrafted by women artisans in Central Uganda who are part of a cooperative that provides employment and skills training for disadvantaged and marginalized communities, including widows, individuals with disabilities, and those living with HIV/AIDS. Each basket is woven from home over days or weeks, with artisans balancing their craft alongside family and household responsibilities.
